We are officially waiting- AGAIN
We got a notice from our agency that our LOI for D has been emailed to the agency staff in Beijing on Thursday and that the hard copies are being sent today. Now that the paperwork has been sent to China we begin to wait for 2 things. First we should get our LOA and once that arrives we will sign it, send it back and then we wait for our TA. LOAs have been arriving for people anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months after the LOI and TA's 2-6 weeks after the LOA has been returned. At this point there is no way to know how it will go for us. We know that at least 1 week is going to added due to the celebration of Chinese New Year- but it could come as early as the end of February and as late as... well I don't even want to go there. We are praying for the best case scenario to get her home as soon as we can- plus if we get approvals before the end of March we might not have to redo all of the US immigration paperwork- saving us a ton a time and a bunch of money.
