Whose idea was this?????
We began a major home rennovation project at the end of January that is scheduled to finish the end of March. We had planned on getting our referral late April at the earliest so that we would have time to paint and get carpet and clean and still have a little time to relax before packing to leave. Of course, life is funny how it works out and we got D's referral the Friday before they were scheduled to start work. We knew we would have to live in basement during the construction, which we thought wouldn't be a big deal. However, we have had 2 school holidays and FIVE snowdays since they began work. The kids are going stir crazy. And on top of it all, there is plastic everywhere. It is like living in a biohazard area- we expect to see men in hazmat suits around every corner. On the plus side, when it is all finished we will have 2 new bedrooms and a loft that will be the new playroom for the kids. (One big problem is we can't even begin to figure out what clothes we need to get for D since all the toys are being stored in her room and we can barely get the door open to see what clothes she has) Hopefully, they will be wrapping up within the next 2-3 weeks (way ahead of schedule) They are currently finishing the drywall- so the house is messy, messy, messy. Hopefully, our SW won't want to start our homestudy update until they are finished. Here is a before photo and 3 "during" photos- including all the plastic
