"Camping" Weekend

B's parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July and the whole family (my crew, B's sister and her crew and B's parents spent the weekend in one of our lovely state parks.

Uncle T took the kids kayaking.

There was lots of fishing (not much catching- X caught 3 little fish and my niece caught one.)  Poor A who was the one who really wanted to fish didn't catch anything.  That might have been because he refuses to use live bait 'cause it's mean.  Kudos to him and who knew that even with those tiny fish brains they can tell the difference between a worm and a wiggly piece of plastic?
Oh and to avoid a trip to the ER for someone K was fishing without a hook- her exact words were "I don't have a hooker" (which is also how I found out my 12 year knows the other meaning of that word)

It was totally like camping (except for the hotel/resort we ate and slept at)

We did cook hotdogs and make s'mores over an open fire.

That counts.
